It was a real treat, when I one day brought my camera along on my exercise walk, with a plan to capture some images of a small group of Australian water dragons, which I kept meeting on a daily basis.
Most often it’s a challenge to get close to Water dragons. They are super alert of their surroundings and most times will run and hide, as we approach them. Their senses are ultra-sharp and they’re able to detect us coming from a long distance away. I was lucky, that this group decided to stay still trying to fit in with the environment, hoping I wouldn’t notice them. At first it worked for them, as I thought there was only a couple, but as I stood still for a bit, my eyes adjusted and began to see details and I discovered more and more. There was probably 8 to 10 of them, all well camouflaged in with their surroundings.
