Flow of turquoise

Turquoise water is what Hokitika Gorge is famous for. It’s a fast flowing river & a very spectacular sight. Although it’s a popular place, the sound of the river eliminates human noise and while sitting on the rocks watching the water, it’s easy to get drawn into tranquil moments and forget there’s other people around.
It’s a little drive out of Hokitika, but an easy stroll from the carpark to reach great view points of the gorge and well worth the time & effort.
