Humpback whale encounter

The Icefjord by Ilulissat in Greenland is a bit of a mecca for seeing whales during the summer months. The many encounters we had during our visit was a massive highlight for me. It’s nothing short of incredible watching these graceful giants.
This image is captured during a whale safari trip on the fjord, an experience I can highly recommend. One does have to be quick on the shutter button and anticipate where they’ll breach next to have a chance of capturing them.
