Someone has been digging in the mud by the creek!
The Laughing Kookaburra is one of four Kookaburra species, all part of the kingfisher family. They are the largest of all kingfishers and is the best-known Kookaburra. They are native to the eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia and have adapted well to living alongside humans, so is frequently spotted in suburban areas.
Waking up early in the morning, I can almost set my watch to the exact time, they instantly start their “laughter”, perhaps this is why they are known as the “Bushman’s Clock”.
This Laughing Kookaburra was capture on a walk in my local area.
