Oh – I see

Barbary Macaque monkey.
A huge highlight for me on my travel through Morocco was meeting these super adorable monkeys in the wild. We made our stop in the forest and not at the more popular rest stops for tourists. I think this made our encounter with the monkeys so much better. They were curious about us, yet shy and cautious making sure not to get too close to us. This made for a fantastic encounter with them.
They’re the only Macaque monkey living outside of Asia and unfortunately an endangered animal.
