The Greenlandic Sled dog is a very unique breed of husky only found in Greenland. They have been specifically bred to deal with tough arctic conditions. The technique of training sled dogs is a skill that’s been passed down through generations in Greenland.

Summer month is mostly resting time for sled dogs and in Ilullisat the dogs are being kept in special designated areas on the outskirts of town. These dogs are definitely not pets and although they can look very adorable, it’s advised not to approach them unless an okay has been given by the owner.
